Our Community of Practice

what's it all about?

JOIN NOW

The Cancer Implementation Science Community of Practice provides a forum for members to collaborate on the translation of best evidence into care and to develop a rigorous research program on  how to improve the uptake of evidence into practice. The community includes representatives from across the Translational Cancer Research Centres (TCRCs) of NSW and is an initiative funded by the Cancer Institute NSW.

We aim to:
  • Increase knowledge and skills in the science of implementation and translation of evidence into practice;
  • Provide support for conceptual developments in implementation projects; and
  • Support establishment of a network of scientists and clinicians involved in implementation science.

Syllabus

To achieve this we developed an education syllabus in implementation science covering the fundamentals of what implementation science is and its uses, and the whole undertaking research in implementation science and using tools to affect practice change. The syllabus can be read on the Resources page of this site.

Education Program

Our education program is ongoing and covers our syllabus through workshops, symposia and webinars featuring both international and local implementation scientists and leaders who will bring their expertise to you, to help you take principles & tools to conduct your own research or carry out quality improvements at a local level.

Our educational activities are always free & available to anyone working in the implementation science, quality improvement, and health research areas who is interested in quality implementation. Check out the upcoming activities on our Events page
